Portsmouth City Schools

On Friday, March 27th, The Portsmouth Police Department will be conducting a large-scale joint training with faculty and staff of the Portsmouth City School District, along with Scioto County EMA, Portsmouth Fire Department, and members of neighboring law enforcement organizations, including the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and Shawnee State DPS. The training exercise will run from approximately 7am-3pm. There will be a large presence of emergency responders in and around the school during this time. There is no cause for alarm. No students will be present during the training exercise. Please find alternate travel routes or avoid the area around the schools during this time, as streets will be blocked. Thank you.
